IBERLINCE will be present at the new FERCATUR stage in Ciudad Real
2018-05-22
On May 25th, 26th and 27th, the new edition of the Hunting, Fishing and Tourism Fair, FERCATUR, will be held in Ciudad Real.
The fair reclaims its old name due to the prestige it held for many years. FERCATUR 2018 stands as the hunting and nature exhibit reference in the city of Ciudad Real. The organizers prepared over 40 activities of all kinds, designed to allow youngsters and elders alike to enjoy three days of awareness, and the countryside.
The Life+Iberlince project will attend the event, making all information regarding the project’s development available to visitors. For this purpose, the "Lynx territories" exhibition will be on display in the Quijote Arena, the venue for the fair, so that anyone can learn about the Iberian lynx first-hand and in depth.
Similarly, the project will provide visitors with leaflets, posters and some souvenirs detailing how the reintroduction of the world’s most endangered feline was carried out in different areas of the Iberian Peninsula, and in the Castilla-La Mancha region in particular. This information point will be located at the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development stand.
The Life+Iberlince project is a transnational, European funded program, involving two countries, Spain and Portugal – as well as four autonomous communities: Andalusia (project coordinator), Extremadura, Murcia and Castilla-La Mancha. A total of 23 partners spread across various work areas.
In Castilla-La Mancha specifically there are five partners who develop the lynx reintroduction project: the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development, heading the proceedings, Aproca, WWF and FOMECAM.
On behalf of Iberlince, we encourage you to visit and participate in the fair, and learn more about how the Iberian lynx reintroduction has taken place in its former territories across the Iberian Peninsula.
