Female Iberian lynx run over in Olhão, Portugal

Last Saturday, April 14th, ICNF specialists assigned to the Life+IBERLINCE project found the corpse of a female Iberian lynx in the A22 motorway median strip on the stretch between Tavira and Olhão.

This female was released in the Guadiana Valley reintroduction area in Portugal in 2017.

The body, which showed signs consistent with death due to car collision, was transferred to the reference centre where the necropsy will be performed.
